There are many friendly faces at GRACE’s Donation Station, and those dropping off needed items may have seen one of the friendliest, Angel Diaz! Prior to joining GRACE, Angel worked as a Lot Loader for The Home Depot, and a Packager for Hello Fresh.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Angel has always been a laid-back and hard-working person. Surrounding himself with family and discovering new things has created a sense of peace in his life, which he now applies to his professional life. After graduating high school, Angel moved from Chicago to Euless to be closer to his mother and to experience a new environment.
Working at GRACE’s Donation Station, Angel is known for being supportive, polite, and understanding. When he is not at the roundabout greeting donors and helping to unload donations from vehicles, he can be seen helping to sort or test electronic equipment.
“There are very few people like Angel,” noted Donation Station Manager, Dorcas Holloway. “He’s charming, hilarious, and best of all helpful, which makes for a great worker and leader here at D.S.”
When asked what stands out to him about the GRACE mission, Angel responded “Providing Assistance. There are many people out in the community that need that extra help, and no matter what part of GRACE you work in, we are always called to provide assistance to anyone in need.”
“We genuinely are a family at GRACE, and I adore working here,” said Angel. “Together, we work hard, have fun, and always have each other’s best interests in mind. I believe this is why I love the GRACE team so much.”
What many do not know about Angel is that he enjoys riding and watching trains. With the Donation Station a mere 20 yards away from the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, he becomes intrigued every time he sees a train go by. Angel also is interested in sports such as basketball and football and loves learning about new and healthy dishes that he can make in the comfort of his own home.
GRACE is so appreciative of Angel and his dedication to serving our community at the Donation Station. Donors understand that whenever they have something to donate, Angel is ready to help.
