GRACE CAN HELP

GRACE provides assistance to those who are suffering from chronic low income or those who have experienced a recent emergency. If you need help, you’ve already taken the first step.

Food Pantry

The Client Choice Food Pantry provides a wide variety of food options for families and individuals experiencing food insecurity.

Emergency Assistance

This program provides food, clothing, toiletries, household goods, financial assistance, and referrals to those in need.

Community Clinic

The GRACE Community Clinic is a medical home for uninsured families that do not have access to traditional health care.

Mentorship Housing

This program allows individuals and families the stability, comfort, and safety of their own residence for up to two years while they work or attend educational opportunities towards self sufficiency.

Friends & Family Program

GRACE Friends & Family connects seniors (age 55+) and individuals with disabilities to resources and volunteers in an effort to combat isolation and loneliness.

Seasonal Programs

GRACE Seasonal Programs, which include a summer feeding program, back-to-school efforts, and a Christmas Cottage, address various needs for children and families.

If you have experienced a recent emergency or financial crisis, GRACE can help. You will meet with a trained care manager in a warm and caring environment. If you are seeking assistance, we are now conducting interviews at our Client Services offices at 837 E. Walnut St. To be seen by a care manager, we ask that you sign-in in person during our hours of operation. Please note all visitors will be asked to complete a brief screening prior to meeting with a case worker. We ask that only one member per family come into the office.

Am I eligible?

  • GRACE serves residents in and around Tarrant County who are in financial crisis.
  • GRACE also serves homeless individuals and families, and people who are referred by GRACE member churches. For questions about eligibility, please contact the Client Services department at 817.488.7009.

What do I need to bring with me?

When you visit GRACE, please bring the following items with you:

  • Paycheck stubs (for the previous 30 days) for all working adults in the household
  • Current bank statement
  • Copies of all financial assistance (Food Stamps, TANF, Child Support, SSI, Social Security, Unemployment, Worker’s Comp, Disability, Retirement)
  • Drivers license OR photo ID for all adults in the household
  • Birth certificate for each child in the household
  • Copy of current lease (complete) signed by tenant and landlord OR Residence Verification Form which is available in the office at GRACE
  • Current school registration or report cards for all school age eligible children (for children’s seasonal programs)
    • Any other document you feel helps explain your financial crisis

Necessaria para recibir asistancia

  • Copias de documentos con cantidades de toda ayuda económica que recibe (Estampillas de Comida, TANF, Manutención de Menores, SSI, Seguro Social, Pensión de Incapacidad o Jubilación, Compensación de Desempleo o por haber sido lastimado haber sido lastimado en el Trabajo)
  • Licencia de manejo O identificatión con fotografía de cada adulto
  • Acta de nacimiento para cada niño en su casa
  • Copia de contrato de renta completado y firmado O carta de Verificación de Residencia (ésta carta es disponible en la oficina de GRACE)
  • Registro escolar o tarjetas de reporte de notas de la escuela para todos los niños en su casa (para programas de temporada para niños)
  • Cualquier otro documento que crea que ayuda a explicar su crisis financiera

CONTACT CLIENT SERVICES

Client Services is the primary entry point at GRACE for individuals and families facing financial challenges due to low-income or a recent emergency.

Caseworkers conduct in-depth assessments to determine client needs, develop individualized case plans, and connect clients with emergency assistance in the form of food, clothing, toiletries, household goods, and rent and utility assistance. Referrals are made as needed for ongoing services.
