Read more →The GRACE Transitional Housing Program is a transformative program that creates lasting change by combining the expertise of a GRACE Care Manager with the determination and discipline of a client. GRACE is honored to share that some of our program graduates have gone on and developed their careers to become managers, directors, nurses, and even a CEO. This program is the hardest program offered here at GRACE because it takes a great deal of discipline and a heart open to learning in order to obtain true success. Read more →FY23 witnessed a strong increase in people coming to GRACE for assistance. Last year, 10,301 unduplicated clients—3,789 households—an increase of 46.9% over FY22. GRACE Care Managers are meeting even larger numbers this year. Every morning we have people waiting in line before we open, all in need of our services. The below services were provided during the fiscal year that ended August 31, 2023. The increase percentages in the parentheses are comparisons to FY22. · 104,621 service units were provided to GRACE clients (27.2% increase) · 34,265 lunches were served to children during the GRACE Feed Our Kids program last summer (12.9% increase) · 11,129 shoppers visited the GRACE Food Pantry (58.4% increase) · 3,394 people had merrier Christmases through the GRACE Christmas Cottage (16.4% increase) · 2,086 children received clothing packets from the GRACE Clothing Room (27.6% increase) · 1,515 families were added as new clients to GRACE Client Services (37.1% increase) · 739 clinics were

Recently, GRACE had the opportunity to say ‘yes’ to a family facing great distress. A job loss, being the victim of a financial scam, and holding the responsibility of an ailing child had sent a once financially stable household into crisis. They had been doing all they could to remain in good standing and worked hard to fill the financial gaps with temporary jobs while looking for full-time work, but all efforts had been limited due to their son not being able to be without constant care. Many families who had never experienced navigating a support system to provide for the basic needs of their family were forced to reach out…to a system with which they were unfamiliar. Read more →Area steel fabricator James Irwin and his family visited GRACE Donation Station on Wednesday, April 17, to commemorate the corner of Lee’s Avenue and Jackson’s Way. Lee’s Avenue is named after Stella Lee Irwin, James’ spouse, who passed away last year. Jackson’s Way is named after Jackson Paige, James’ grandson, who was called to the Lord’s side at a young age. Attending the ceremony with James was Jackson’s mother Jessica Battaglia and her children. Other family members included Amy and Jason Brothers, James’ daughter and son-in-law, and their children, and James’ son Bryan Irwin, his wife Jennifer and some of their children as well as other family and friends.
Read more →GRACE is thrilled to announce a new facet of partnership between ourselves and Tarrant County Homelessness Coalition (TCHC)! Founded in 1989, TCHC is known for its incredibly impactful work assisting the unhoused. GRACE has utilized training and resources provided by TCHC to educate staff and offer assistance to struggling families. However, this new facet comes in the form of funding! GRACE has been selected as a recipient of the recent Day 1 Funding Grant facilitated by TCHC, and we’re thrilled! This funding will allow us to continue to meet the rising need of our clients for affordable housing.
