Are you Car Care Aware? October is Fall Car Care Month, and that means taking a few extra steps to make sure your vehicle is in good operation. This may not only prolong the life of your car but save you time and keep you and your passengers safe. Keeping your check engine light off also ensures your car is not polluting more than necessary, which means better air quality for all of us in the region. Make sure your coolant levels are topped off with antifreeze to prevent your car from overheating and leaving you stranded. Winter months bring potential driving hazards such as icy roads so it’s important to prepare by checking your brakes and tires in the fall as the weather cools down. Worn treads on a tire can seriously impact a car’s ability to stop in the rain. If your tread depth is less than 4/32”,

For over a decade, the Classic Chevrolet staff have been wonderful supporters of GRACE and its programs. Classic has been the Presenting Sponsor of the GRACE Gala for 15 years. They have also been involved in The Christmas Cottage and toy drives that have benefited many families during the holidays. And this past week, just like the ten years before, we were overwhelmed by the generosity of our community! We want to take a brief moment to thank all those who remembered us with a gift on NTXGD! These past few years have been unlike any others. COVID, economic instability, and other woes have impacted us all. But we have faced them together and, together, we have provided food, medical care, housing, transportation, rent and utilities assistance, senior care, and children’s programming for tens of thousands of families in our community. Our work continues as the number of clients coming to GRACE climbs every day. Because of you—our incredible community—our mission remains solid. Even facing doubling, and tripling, numbers of clients, our vow to God and to our community guides us to be competent

Prior to joining GRACE, Angel worked as a Lot Loader for The Home Depot, and a Packager for Hello Fresh. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Angel has always been a laid-back and hard-working person. Surrounding himself with family and discovering new things has created a sense of peace in his life, which he now applies to his professional life. After graduating high school, Angel moved from Chicago to Euless to be closer to his mother and to experience a new environment. Working at GRACE’s Donation Station, Angel is known for being supportive, polite, and understanding. When he is not at the roundabout greeting donors and helping to unload donations from vehicles, he can be seen helping to sort or test electronic equipment. “There are very few people

The 36th annual Grapefest took place this past weekend, and we are happy to say that the GRACE staff was well-represented. Grapefest included wine tastings, charcuterie workshops, a grape stomp, Champagne Cork Shoot-Off, music, art booths, food, and entertainment for the whole family. GRACE Staff was eager to volunteer and interact with the community – especially while working the beer booth next to Mainstage. Special Events Manager, Basha Ramsey, noted that “there are various opportunities for people to give back to their community. Grapefest is a fantastic way to network, volunteer, and meet new people at the same time.” Everyone had a wonderful time, and we know GRACE and our community will be ready to do it again next year!

As you know, GRACE embraces the philosophy that encouraging self-sufficiency will, in turn, strengthen families and help preserve neighborhoods and communities. It is only through your generosity that we are able to offer compassion and assistance to those who so desperately need it. For many years now, GRACE has been witness to this cycle of families building and succeeding, only to be undercut by an illness, loss of a job, decreased work hours, car repair, accident, or some other incident that amounts to a devastating financial crisis for these families. During North Texas Giving Day, your investment of $25, $50, or $100 or more will help us meet the needs of our community. As we launch our 36th year of service,
