The GRACE Clothing Room is preparing for the fast-approaching change of season, and we need your help! Dina Pesina, the manager of the Clothing Room, has an urgent need for children’s small and medium socks as well as children’s coats of all sizes. One of the most important things GRACE can do for our families is to reinforce that even the smallest need they have, GRACE will meet. Providing something as small as a pair of children’s socks helps to secure the family and build confidence that our caseworkers have the client and their households’ every need in mind as they guide them on their journey back to self-sufficiency. As GRACE is the only source of cold-weather clothing for hundreds of families we thank you in advance for helping us meet this need!

The GRACE Gala in and of itself would just be another fantastic party, but it’s the purpose that sets it apart. This past weekend, the GRACE Transitional Housing ladies embarked on the De-Clutter challenge! Led by organizer coach Tammy O’Neil, each family was tasked with spending 15 minutes a day gathering all of the items in their homes they no longer needed. These items were then packed up and donated straight to GRACE resale stores! But why clutter? And why start spring cleaning so early? As Tammy O’Neil explains on her website, the impacts a cluttered home can have on a person are vast. In her August newsletter (listed here) “The Impact of Clutter on Your Mental Health,” Tammy explains that clutter can increase feelings of stress and anxiety in individuals- and even impact personal relationships. With the 20th annual GRACE Gala just two weeks away, the excitement is real! Last night, GRACE took time to celebrate and honor sponsors, donors, and other valued guests at the VIP Party.  Hosted by Dr. Haritha Mikkilineni of Medrein Health & Aesthetics, this party was a hit! It’s that time again! Peace Together would like to invite GRACE supporters to join the Peace Together Walk, on Saturday, November 4th, starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Colleyville Masjid. Peace Together shares the spirit of compassion with GRACE and those in the community. They are looking forward to collaborating and supporting our programs with this wonderful walk. Each year, the team puts the words of their mission into action, and strives to show there is no room in our community for discrimination, racism, hatred, bigotry and intolerance. The success of the GRACE Community Garden is largely attributed to the dedicated volunteers who generously offer their time and efforts. These volunteers come from all walks of life, united by a common goal – to help alleviate food insecurity in the community.
