Give Back by Adopting a GRACE TOLO Box!

Why adopt? Food insecurity is a huge issue throughout the United States, and you may be wondering how you alone can make a difference. If you live in a household that is food secure, you may never experience the feeling of being hungry or the stress and fear for how you are going to provide a meal for yourself and your children. The GRACE Food Pantry is here to help families who have fallen on hard times, thus relieving them of the added stress of grocery bills. The Take One, Leave One (TOLO) Box gives individuals and families access to food anytime day or night, outside of the GRACE Food Pantry’s operating hours. Who is eligible to adopt a box? Everyone is welcome to adopt a TOLO! Individuals, businesses, community groups, service clubs, schools and student groups, faith-based organizations, neighborhood associations, and youth groups are just some of the volunteers

Feed Our Kids Spring Break : New Records and What’s to Come!

We have officially kicked off our 2025 seasonal lunch program! Feed Our Kids Spring Break Edition set a new record! Our dedicated volunteers and families showed up through every spring weather condition, from cold and wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour to warm, bright sunshine! It was wonderful to reconnect with all the friendly and familiar faces. Most of our kids arrived excited and hungry directly from the City Spring Break Sports Camp! During Spring Break, only two of our six summer locations serve lunch – and we were busy! We extremely grateful for our friends and volunteers from both First Baptist Grapevine and First Grapevine Methodist Church who hosted and served. We saw an increase in attendance from 2024 and served 653 lunches to our area kids. These groups served everything from homemade tamales to burgers hot off the grill! As we prepare for Feed Our Kids

Utility Bill Turned Lifeline

Keeping our utility bills current helps to keep our homes comfortable. We can regulate the temperature, have running water, enjoy entertainment, and operate appliances that make our weekly chores more manageable. But, what if, the life of a loved one depended on the electricity remaining on? The story we want to share with you this month is about just that. A single mother of four came to GRACE in desperate need of help. She shared with her care manager that her 9-year-old daughter has a severe illness and needs constant monitoring and oxygen. Her daughter has been a frequent resident at the children’s hospital and between managing those stays and home care after her release, maintaining a stable job has been quite difficult. She has a social worker that she works with to help her navigate her daughter’s condition and the current situation, but an impossible emergency had brought her

Getting Creative In Giving Back

Our community is unmatched! Admittedly we are biased, but we wanted to take a moment to highlight how incredibly blessed we at GRACE are to be surrounded by a community that supports our mission in the most creative ways through program-specific drives and fun events. Each drive and every event raises awareness for GRACE programs and oftentimes gathers support or items that in turn are given directly to families who are in need. Creating an event or hosting a drive are unique ways that local businesses, churches, civic organizations, and community groups can engage their employees/members in team building while supporting our mission by gathering food and clothing, or encouraging financial contributions. For example: Earlier this month, the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. held a supply drive, collecting essentials like diapers, laundry detergent, and cooking oil for the GRACE Food Pantry after checking our most urgent needs list.

GRACE Volunteer Appreciation Lunch: You Make the “Perfect Recipe”

Are you ready for a celebration so sweet that a dentist might be needed? Mark your calendars and join us for GRACE’s 2025 Volunteer Luncheon on Friday, April 4th at White’s Chapel Methodist Church, where we celebrate the crem de la crem of our volunteers! Last year, we celebrated the Rock Star Volunteers that make up GRACE. So, this year we decided to name those special ingredients that make up The Perfect Recipe of a GRACE Volunteer. Sure, every ice cream sundae is sweet – but let’s be honest, we need those nuts along with the whipped cream to make it something special! With a celebration this decadent, the staff at GRACE decided to spread the love – thick as hot fudge – all month long, naming March, “VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION MONTH!” Be on the lookout at your favorite places to serve for some amazing site parties. Molly Maid Cleans for the GRACE Cause

The Ms. Molly Foundation has partnered with GRACE for over 15 years to support our Mentorship Housing program. For perspective, the total amount of support received this year, as you can see, was over $2,500. The generosity of this incredible staff is overwhelming, and it’s gifts like this that truly highlight the role GRACE plays not just in the lives of our clients, but in the hearts of our surrounding community. Franchise owner Katrina Keith is always thrilled to connect with and serve GRACE in whatever capacity possible. She has donated the time and services of her team multiple times throughout our years of partnership including cleaning the Mentorship Housing apartments to make them ready for new residents and
