The Programs team at Grapevine Relief And Community Exchange (GRACE) include Client Services care managers who are the gatekeepers of GRACE, the manager and assistant manager of the Food Pantry, Community Clinic staff, our senior services program Friends & Family manager, and Mentorship Housing staff. Together, this team has provided a record number of services to our community during this holiday season and we would like to share the November numbers with you.

Client Services: A Focus on Offering Stability

GRACE’s Client Services care managers conducted 1,032 household interviews, representing 3,675 individuals. The team provided crucial support, including rent and utility payments, and transportation-related services.

Our care manager’s also coordinated with city, law, and school district officials to step into the households of 13 families experiencing exceptional crisis in order to see them securely housed, connected with the continuum of care offered by GRACE programs, and avoid ongoing homelessness.

GRACE’s clothing room provided 639 children’s clothing packs in November and Christmas Cottage sign ups began. We anticipate serving over 700 families during the holiday season.

Food Pantry: Addressing Food Insecurity

The GRACE Food Pantry received 762 visits in November, including 72 commodity deliveries for the Friends & Family program. In addition to this, 615 Thanksgiving meal kits that were given to clients families. An estimate of $80,000 worth of food has been distributed this month alone, and requests for assistance continue.

GRACE Mentorship Housing: Empowering Individuals

GRACE Mentorship Housing continues to provide a supportive environment for its 11 current residents and is thrilled to announce that 4 of them will be graduating from the program in January of 2025.

Community Clinic: Promoting Health and Wellness

The GRACE Community Clinic hosted 64 clinics in November, providing 205 individuals with 359 patient visits. The clinic welcomed 12 new patients and benefited from 213.2 volunteer hours. The clinic also focused on preventative services, providing 13 mammograms and 15 Well-Woman exams.

Seniors Program: A Helping Hand

GRACE’s Senior Program continued its commitment to supporting senior citizens in the community. Volunteers delivered 72 meals, and 90 households are currently being served through the Friends and Family program. The program continues to actively engage with community partners and businesses to secure referrals and services to address the diverse needs of senior neighbors. Though GRACE has dedicated staff, all of these incredible stats could not be possible without the daily support of selfless volunteers and the generous donors who make GRACE’s mission their own.
