GRACE would like to welcome our new Special Events Manager, Basha Ramsey.
Growing up in Dayton, Ohio, Basha has always been a dedicated leader who strives for excellence. This is shown by the fact that she was a four-year starter and captain of her collegiate basketball team. She is no stranger to the idea that it takes a team to accomplish anything, even as she led her squad to numerous wins along the way.
Before taking on her role at GRACE, Basha was a Business Development Representative for Carrier Enterprise in Carrollton, TX. There she was responsible for generating new business opportunities for potential partners and organizations.
Basha began working for GRACE back in April, and after less than a month on the job, she was immediately put to the test. Assisting with both GRACE’s Designer Bags and Bingo and Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, she got quite active by taking on tasks that were crucial to the success of the events. Basha’s impact on the GRACE team became clear to everyone from that moment on.
The bond Basha has with her coworkers is wonderful to see. To her, the GRACE family is like a team, and she is always prepared to chip in, no matter the cost. When extra assistance was needed during the GRACE Grocery Giveaway, Basha would volunteer her time, despite the weather being above 100 degrees.
GRACE’s Marketing and Communications Manager, Natalie Podsednik, says that “Basha jumped right into her role here like she had been doing it her whole life. She is determined and an extremely hard worker, but don’t let her fool you – she is consistently the one making everyone laugh in the office. We’re so lucky to have her!”
When asked about her passion for working at GRACE, Basha responded, “Working for an organization where we directly impact the community gives me a purpose. What are you doing if you’re not helping out your teammate and your community?”
As we prepare for the year’s most anticipated event of the year, the GRACE Gala, Basha along with our wonderful Gala committee, are working hard to make sure that this year’s Gala is the best one yet.
