Mark Your Calendar for Art in the Square 2025

The Southlake Women’s Club celebrates 25 years of Art in the Square on April 25-27, and GRACE is so excited to join in on the fun! We have been selected as one of many beneficiaries of this event, which is one of the Top 10 juried art festivals in the US! We are honored to continue a partnership that has lasted over 20 years!

Tens of thousands of visitors flock to Southlake Town Square to view the curated artwork and fabulous entertainers that take the stage each of the three nights of Art in the Square. This fine art jubilee, which takes place from April 25-27, is not without your favorite festival food and beverages, and if quality family fun does not get your attention, free admission just might!

Emerging artists also have a chance to shine during this event by competing in contests and performing live on the event’s two main stages. It has become a fixture in Southlake’s already stellar reputation for artistry and handsome urban culture. Art in the Square will display 150 of some of the nation’s top artists to benefit local charities supporting women, children, and families.

All proceeds from this event are donated back to local charities, and GRACE is honored to be just one of the many incredible organizations that the Southlake Women’s Club chose to support this year. To date, Art in the Square has dispersed over $3M in funds to those charities.

GRACE is beyond excited to be a part of this event once again, and we hope you are too! Come out April 25-27 to have fun, see the art, and support them in supporting us!

Give Back by Adopting a GRACE TOLO Box!

Why adopt?

Food insecurity is a huge issue throughout the United States, and you may be wondering how you alone can make a difference. If you live in a household that is food secure, you may never experience the feeling of being hungry or the stress and fear for how you are going to provide a meal for yourself and your children. The GRACE Food Pantry is here to help families who have fallen on hard times, thus relieving them of the added stress of grocery bills. The Take One, Leave One (TOLO) Box gives individuals and families access to food anytime day or night, outside of the GRACE Food Pantry’s operating hours.

Who is eligible to adopt a box?

Everyone is welcome to adopt a TOLO! Individuals, businesses, community groups, service clubs, schools and student groups, faith-based organizations, neighborhood associations, and youth groups are just some of the volunteers that can adopt a TOLO Box. GRACE is very excited about this project and wants to work with anyone willing to assist in this endeavor. We welcome creative ideas on how groups adopt these boxes! Examples could include but are not limited to multiple groups collaborating, or a church having each Sunday school class adopt the box for a week during the month. These details would be worked out at TOLO Orientation with the GRACE Volunteer Coordinator.

What is the time commitment and expectations?

  • A minimum of one month agreement, but would love longer term agreement.
  • Adoptees will stock the box and will visit and evaluate the box needs once a week (at minimum).
  • Each two weeks, the adoptee will submit, via email, a standard report to GRACE Volunteer Coordinator on status of food, any repairs needed and any questions.
  • When adoptee visits the TOLO Box, they will be tasked on making sure site around box is clean and the box is functioning and will alert GRACE Staff if repairs are needed.
  • At the end of the month or each month of the agreement, the adoptee will fill out a survey so GRACE can continue to improve this program to benefit our community and give volunteers the best experience possible!

How do I sign up?

1. Fill out application and volunteer agreement

2. Submit documents to volunteer@GRACEGrapevine.org

3. Meet with GRACE Volunteer Coordinator to schedule an orientation and decide on availability and location of box (we currently have three boxes at different locations)

Feed Our Kids Spring Break : New Records and What’s to Come!

We have officially kicked off our 2025 seasonal lunch program! Feed Our Kids Spring Break Edition set a new record! Our dedicated volunteers and families showed up through every spring weather condition, from cold and wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour to warm, bright sunshine! It was wonderful to reconnect with all the friendly and familiar faces. Most of our kids arrived excited and hungry directly from the City Spring Break Sports Camp!

During Spring Break, only two of our six summer locations serve lunch – and we were busy! We extremely grateful for our friends and volunteers from both First Baptist Grapevine and First Grapevine Methodist Church who hosted and served. We saw an increase in attendance from 2024 and served 653 lunches to our area kids. These groups served everything from homemade tamales to burgers hot off the grill!

As we prepare for Feed Our Kids Summertime Edition, we extend an invitation to you to volunteer with us. Feed Our Kids runs solely on volunteers. Choosing a day or week, volunteers provide and serve lunch at one of six sites within our community. Leading children in games, crafts, and activities are just icing on the cake to ensure that each child leaves with a full belly and a smile on their face. And, we work alongside of you to make the process easy! If you are unable to provide the man-power to volunteer,

GRACE also allows the option for businesses and organizations to sponsor a meal.

For more information on how you can be a part of Feed Our Kids, please contact GRACE’s Volunteer & Seasonal Programs Coordinator, Deb Ebeling at debeling@GRACEGrapevine.org. You do not want to miss this opportunity to make a difference in a summer day of a child!

24 Hours of GRACE 2025: Thank You

The 2025 edition of 24 Hours of GRACE is in the books! Your generosity was astounding. Thank you so very much for making our campaign a great success. THANK YOU!

Your gifts and pledges help energize the GRACE mission and strengthen our programs and services. GRACE is truly blessed to have such generous and forward-looking friends.

Our stories about housing and the struggles our families go through to keep roofs over their heads truly resonated with you. Our mission—the GRACE mission—is only a channel through which your generosity reaches those families. Your support provides stability, and strengthens GRACE’s ability to serve the needs of our clients.

With you, GRACE stands beside these families with rental assistance and eviction prevention programs. We make sure that children do not suffer by keeping our food pantry, and their bellies, full. We connect patients with proper medical care and treatment.

GRACE is honored, humbled, and fortunate to play a small role in ensuring your donations are used efficiently and effectively to address the needs in the communities we serve. Because of your generosity, hundreds of families will continue to live in their homes, return to stable financial footing, and resume their journey to self-sufficiency.

Dozens of donors stepped forward during 24 Hours of GRACE. Many set recurring gifts for the coming year. Their pledges are an important investment in the future of GRACE and in the families we serve. Many more made one-time gifts to support GRACE services and programs.

GRACE is where members of the community give to help those in need. Whether your gifts are financial contributions, donations of goods and materials, or volunteered time, GRACE is honored to be part of this wonderful caring place.

Even though the 24 Hours of GRACE is over for this year, your gifts are needed and appreciated 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year! Your gifts allow our families room to breathe. To look beyond today and see what tomorrow can be. When you give to GRACE, you can be that breath and stand alongside GRACE, as we stand with families in need.

Thank you!

Introducing the 22nd Annual GRACE Gala Co-Chairs: Laurie & Larry Wall

The GRACE Gala is back home in Grapevine for its 22nd year. This event is highly anticipated by the community, and it serves as GRACE’s largest annual fundraiser. All net proceeds fund programs and services for families and individuals in need who come to GRACE for help. The “angels among us” Gala will be on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center.  This year’s chairs are Laurie and Larry Wall!

Larry and Laurie Wall, founders of Wall Team Realty Associates, have been dedicated to serving Colleyville and the DFW real estate market for over two decades. Married for 28 years and proud residents of Colleyville, they have built not only a thriving business but also a beautiful, blended family, with five adult children and ten grandchildren.

Laurie, a third-generation Realtor, brings 35 years of expertise, while Larry has an impressive 40 years of experience in real estate and new home sales. Together, they launched Wall Team Realty Associates in 1999, growing it into a highly successful firm with a team of 10 agents and 5 administrative professionals.

Specializing in the Colleyville area while serving clients across DFW, Larry and Laurie are known for their market knowledge, personalized service, and deep commitment to their community. Their passion for real estate is matched only by their love for family, faith, and helping others find the perfect place to call home.

“We are thrilled to be holding the GRACE Gala at the Gaylord again”, says Chief Executive Officer Rebecca Cox. “We are especially excited to be working with our 2025 Chairs, Laurie and Larry Wall.”

Rebecca sums it up in stating that “Laurie and Larry’s ‘Love where you live!’ motto perfectly captures their dedication to our community. We’re thrilled to see their community spirit and passion shine brightly at this year’s GRACE Gala.”

Utility Bill Turned Lifeline

Keeping our utility bills current helps to keep our homes comfortable. We can regulate the temperature, have running water, enjoy entertainment, and operate appliances that make our weekly chores more manageable. But, what if, the life of a loved one depended on the electricity remaining on?

The story we want to share with you this month is about just that. A single mother of four came to GRACE in desperate need of help. She shared with her care manager that her 9-year-old daughter has a severe illness and needs constant monitoring and oxygen. Her daughter has been a frequent resident at the children’s hospital and between managing those stays and home care after her release, maintaining a stable job has been quite difficult.

She has a social worker that she works with to help her navigate her daughter’s condition and the current situation, but an impossible emergency had brought her to GRACE’s doorstep.

An overdue balance had put her at risk of her electricity being cut off. While an overdue balance is not an uncommon detail that our clients share with us during their initial intake assessment, this client’s sense of urgency could not be ignored.

Her daughter’s life relied on an oxygen machine that ran off of electricity and it was imperative that her treatments continue without disruption.

Fear and desperation brought this mother to GRACE where thankfully she was able to find the resources she wanted and the compassion she so sincerely needed. She left GRACE with her utility bill paid in full and was extraordinarily grateful that her daughter would be kept safe during these difficult times.

Her path ahead is a difficult one, but GRACE is so thankful that we were here for her when she needed us.
