Who needs to go all the way to London, when you can participate in the fabulous Jubilee celebrations right in your own back yard? That’s right, the Jubilee Open House is here in Grapevine. Hosted by The British Emporium off of Main Street, visitors can come celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and her continuous reign as the UK’s head of state.
Earlier this year, Queen Elizabeth became the first British Monarch to reach 70 years on the throne, outlasting her paternal great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria, who reigned for nearly 64 years. In honor of this astounding milestone, The British Emporium will be celebrating alongside Buckingham Palace to honor the Queen.
From noon-2pm this weekend visitors can come to the British Emporium and participate in many different activities, such as “A Taste of Britain”, ‘Meet a Brit’, and U.K Author book signings. On top of all of the activities, there will also be raffle tickets on sale with all proceeds benefitting GRACE and its programs. Tickets are one for $5, three for $10, or eight for $20. Tickets are already on sale now!
