The 1st annual “Overdose Awarefest“community event is coming soon to Lake Grapevine and we want you to join in on all of the fun during this Sunday Funday event!
Tina Nealy is the president of Paradise Cove at Lake Grapevine, a special events facility that hosts weddings, receptions, holiday parties, dinners, and more in the DFW area.
This organization takes pride in every event that they do while relying on their experienced staff and the community to create meaningful celebrations, all near the beautiful scenery of Lake Grapevine.
Tina tragically lost her husband, Brent, due to a drug overdose last July. After speaking with individuals in the community about her story and the impacts of drugs, she has vowed to educate families about the overdose crisis and the risk of experimenting with drugs.
“God has made it my purchase to share my love story with everyone I can so that others do not have to go through what he did or the pain I am feeling from losing him,” said Tina. “Brent loved to help others in any way that he could so I know he would want me to do this.”
“Overdose Awarefest” is a free family event for all ages. Families have a chance to learn about the overdose crisis in our country, with professionals onsite to answer any questions and help with Narcan training.
This event will be a nice time to get the family out of the house and enjoy a nice day by the lake. Activities include bounce houses, games, face painting, food, fireworks, and more.
“Overdose Awarefest” will take place Sunday, July 24th, from 4-9 pm, at Paradise Cove At Lake Grapevine, located at 3029 Midway Rd, Southlake, TX.
We would love to see you out there, enjoying the summer sun and learning more about overdose awareness. For more information about this event please click here. Also, click here for information on overdose prevention. You may be able to help someone in need.
