A Successful First Week of Feed Our Kids!

Feed Our Kids  have officially begun, and we are already off to an incredible start. Volunteers, organizations, and departments from all over the community will pitch in to help out in any capacity in order to make this year’s Feed Our Kids another successful one. Tuesday kicked off with each site serving over 35 lunches to children. By the end of the week, each site served approximately 2457 lunches to children across the community. The Grapevine Police Department came out to serve earlier this week. Celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at the British Emporium’s Open House

Who needs to go all the way to London, when you can participate in the fabulous Jubilee celebrations right in your own back yard? That’s right, the Jubilee Open House is here in Grapevine. Hosted by The British Emporium off of Main Street, visitors can come celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and her continuous reign as the UK’s head of state. Earlier this year, Queen Elizabeth became the first British Monarch to reach 70 years on the throne, outlasting her paternal great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria, who reigned for nearly 64 years. In honor of this astounding milestone, The British Emporium will be celebrating alongside Buckingham Palace to honor the Queen. From noon-2pm this weekend visitors can come to the British Emporium and participate in many different activities, such as “A Taste of Britain”, ‘Meet a Brit’, and U.K Author book signings.
