Service & Programs

Emergency Assistance
GRACE provides emergency assistance to more than 1,200 families per year who are faced with financial challenges owing to low-income or recent emergency. Aid is given on an as-needed basis. This program provides food, clothing, toiletries, household goods, furniture, financial assistance, and information/referrals to those in need. Monthly supplemental food is offered for seniors and the disabled.

GRACE Community Clinic
Outreach to Health is a comprehensive program that provides a holistic approach to health care for families who do not have access to traditional medical care. A dedicated staff of volunteer physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers operate the clinic each Tuesday night. The clinic provides the following services: routine office visits and health screenings, medications, specialist referrals, diagnostic testing and lab services, dietary consultations, and general health education. As appropriate, patients are referred to Tarrant County’s John Peter Smith Health Network.

Food Pantry
The Food Pantry provides perishable and nonperishable food to individuals and families in need. More than a mere handout, the Food Pantry uses a vouchers system for GRACE clients to shop and select the food items that meet the cultural and dietary needs of their households. The Pantry is designed as a grocery store that gives GRACE clients an element of dignity in the process of providing food for their families.

In collaboration with Tarrant County Food Bank, families also have the opportunity to participate periodically in nutrition education and cooking classes.

Transitional Housing
The Transitional Housing Program allows individuals and families the stability and comfort of their own apartment for up to two years while they work toward independence.Housing clients participate in intensive Case Management while pursing educational, career, financial, and personal development goals during their stay. All Program activities are aimed at helping the clients to achieve self-determination and eventual self-sufficiency.

Seasonal Programs
In addition to GRACE’s year-round programs, clients, volunteers, and donors can participate in the following seasonal opportunities
–Feed Our Kids calls upon local churches to prepare and serve lunches to children in local apartment complexes throughout the summer. This bridges the gap for children who normally receive free or reduced lunch at school.
Back to School Supply Drive
provides new backpacks and school supplies to GRACE clients at the beginning of each new school year.
Holiday Food Distribution assures that all area households are able to serve Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners to their families. Food baskets include everything needed to prepare a home-cooked holiday meal!
Christmas Cottage
ws parents to choose gifts for their children at Christmas time. Clients are given vouchers to shop in a store-like setting filled with new donated items and toys.

Friends & Family Program
The GRACE Friends & Family Program is a network of faith groups, community partners, civic groups, service organizations and individual volunteers that work together to improve the quality of life for senior adults in the area. GRACE coordinates services and resources to the older adult population within the communities of Grapevine, Southlake and Colleyville.

The purpose of the GRACE Friends & Family Program is to coordinate informal and formal services that reduce social and physical isolation among senior residents, ages 55 and older.

GRACE operates a successful resale program which funds a large portion of the annual budget. We receive so many donations from our community that the supply is greater than the client demand! Donations are received and sorted at the Donation Station, then distributed to GRACE programs. Whatever is left over is sold at one of our two resale shops: GRACEful Buys and Style & GRACE.
